The location is exactly infront of Reykjavik’s biggest church. The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The water has a strong odour and the smell is quite uncomfortable as it envelopes the room. It also makes you not want to consume this water (as they say water from taps is fit to consume). The room is clean buy compact for 2 adults with 2 big bags. The buffet breakfast is limited as compared to other hotels; I’d recommend having at least 2 hot options and increasing the breakfast time to at least 10am (currently it’s served till 9:30am only and the staff (lady) cleaning up the area hurriedly took away the butter and cheese even though she saw me using it).

We stayed in the end at this hotel for 3 nights. Originally we were only scheduled for 2 but as the rain did not stop and the high winds we opted the stay in Reykjavik. The Croatian lady was very helpful in helping us extend our stay and also recommend places to go we hadn’t already been to. Breakfast was really nice and a good option for everyone. Rooms were clean and just what we needed 24/7 coffee, tea or hot chocolate which is a bonus. We had room 407 it was a lovely top room floor and when the rain did stop you could see mountains and the harbour. Overall a great stay and would stay again if we ever come back.

Very central location, city centre just down the hill and near plenty of restaurants and bars if needed. I was delighted to find they’d upgraded me to a double room with a lovely view of the superb church (cathedral, really) opposite. But no worries, the chiming doesn’t go through the night! Not luxurious BUT comfortable room, everywhere sparkling clean, great breakfast, free coffee/tea in reception, friendly, pleasant and very helpful staff. Good value for money, it was a great stay and I would happily return.

The place is great! We chose it based on the reviews left by others, but did not really know what to expect. But everything was exactly as described - the location is perfect, the staff is super friendly and very helpful. And it was very warm in the room - we could regulate the temperature ourselves, which was nice. In addition, one can get free tea and coffee downstairs any time (and the coffee was good), which we enjoyed a lot.

Great location directly opposite the Hallgrimskirkja Church, close to restaurants and easy walking distance from the main shopping area. The continental breakfast was good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Coffee and Tea available at any time for guests was a lovely perk. Lots of tourist information available in the reception area. The room was serviced every day with clean towels.
